Maddie graduated magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center, ranking third in her class.
Maddie was a member of the Southern University Law Review, and served as the Executive Editor of the Law Review. Maddie’s article, Unshackling Precedent: The Fifth Circuits Evolution in Employment Discrimination Law and a Critical Analysis of the Bona Fide Occupational Qualification, was selected for publication in Volume 51 of the Law Review Journal. Maddie was also selected to be the student representative of the Grade Appeals Board and was a member of the Student Bar Association Honors Code Committee.
While in law school, Maddie was a law clerk at Long Law Firm for two years.
