Attorneys Brooke Barnett-Bernal and Shannon Talamo presented at the Louisiana Annual Conference in Gulf Shores, Alabama
November 5, 2026

Long Law Firm was proud to once again serve as an Elite Sponsor of the 2026 AIA Louisiana Annual Conference, held October 1–2 at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The annual conference is always a great opportunity to connect with architects and design professionals from across Louisiana and throughout the region, continue longstanding relationships, and discuss the issues affecting the profession today.

This year, Long Law Firm attorneys Brooke Barnett-Bernal and Shannon Talamo, joined by Barbara Sable of Foundation Risk Partners, presented “Protecting Your Profession: Design Professional Law and Updates.” The panel explored recent jurisprudential and legislative developments affecting Louisiana architects and design professionals, while offering practical risk-management insight and answering questions about the legal issues professionals may encounter throughout their careers.

Beyond the presentation, our attorneys were available throughout the conference to visit with clients, meet new members of Louisiana’s architectural community, and continue the dialogue that has been central to Long Law Firm’s longstanding professional liability practice.

Thank you to AIA Louisiana for another outstanding conference and for the opportunity to continue supporting Louisiana’s design professionals. We look forward to building on these relationships throughout the year.
