Long Law Firm is excited to share the news of a recent Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal opinion in one of the accounting malpractice cases handled by Mike Patterson and Brooke Barnett-Bernal involving the withdrawal of audits required by the Louisiana movie tax credit program.
This is the first Louisiana court of appeal opinion holding the plaintiff is required to produce expert testimony to establish the applicable standard of care of Louisiana accountants and a breach of that standard to meet his burden of proof at trial (under the facts of this case).
