Biography

Mrs. Ashton is an associate and joined the firm in 2009. Her
practice areas include primarily construction litigation, professional
liability litigation representing architects and engineers, commercial
litigation, insurance defense, appellate litigation and wills and
successions.  A native of Cut Off, Louisiana, Mrs. Ashton graduated from
Louisiana State University, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Mass Communications in 2000.  After working in the public relations field
for the Lieutenant Governor and the Secretary of the Department of Culture,
Recreation and Tourism,  Mrs. Ashton graduated from Louisiana State
University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in May of 2005, earning a Juris
Doctorate degree and a Bachelor of Civil Law degree.  Mrs. Ashton is
admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the United States
Eastern, Middle, and Western district courts, and the United States Fifth
Circuit Court of Appeals. She also lectures about construction litigation and
professional liability matters for continuing legal education
seminars.   Mrs. Ashton is  an active member of the Louisiana
State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association, serving as a Young
Lawyers Section council member and as a member of the Belly Up with the Bar,
Law Day, Teen Court, Holiday Star and Opening of Court committees.
